Halfway Creek is a region of mainly State Forest and National Parks bisected by the Pacific Highway as you head south towards Woolgoolga from Grafton. Here a spur of the Great Dividing Range juts towards the coast providing a diverse topography on both sides of the highway.

The coast is fringed by Yuraygir National Park. The unspoiled beach at Station Creek within the park gives opportunity for fishing and surfing in a beautiful natural location.
